Average prices of New Orleans area single family homes held steady during the first half of 2010.
Following a strong multi-year upward trend, prices peaked at $126 per square foot in early 2007. Under pressure from the falling national real estate market and the ensuing recession, average prices fell to $112 by early 2009. During the past year, New Orleans real estate prices remained solid averaging $115 per square foot during the second quarter of 2010.
