East Jefferson Overview
The east bank of Jefferson Parish includes the cities of Kenner and Harahan and unincorporated Metairie and River Ridge, both administered by the Parish of Jefferson.
Jefferson Parish is one of the two largest parishes in the state of Louisiana and is a thriving community, having quickly recovered from Hurricane Katrina. There are a number of truly excellent restaurants and the two largest shopping centers in the region are located here.
Homes in East Jefferson range from mansions in Old Metairie to the very affordable through much of the area. Condominiums are plentiful, while multi-family homes are less common.
