Algiers Homes and Area Information

Literally a city within a city, Algiers is located on the west bank of the Mississippi River and is part of Orleans Parish.

Algiers Point is a secluded neighborhoods with Victorian cottages dating back to the late 1800's giving a feeling of old New Orleans. From here, you can commute to downtown on the Algiers Ferry which docks near the foot of Canal Street.

Further south is Lower Algiers. It has a suburban air in many of its sections, there are several golf course developments and many houses offer large lots and neighborhood amenities.

Most of the residential properties in Algiers are single family homes.
